The Suseska originates in Blato Croatia. Discovered in the Northern Beaches the name is traced back two generations. It is a White Adriatic style fig - a typical Dalmatian sensation.
I have traced the name to a similarly named fig from Hvar in Croatian that is came over in the 1900s has been identified by fig enthusiasts here as the Paradiso. It travelled from Croatia and now has its roots in Broken Hill and Melbourne.
I dont have a photo of my own yet from my own tree but will shortly.
